Three year old Drake was given up by an owner who was moving and could not take him along. Drake tested positive for Heartworm and after months of treatments is finally ready to start a new adventure with a loving family. He is suspicious of strangers and slow to warm up, but with patience, and a few treats, will accept you as a friend. Drake is a young, high energy busy bee who will need a home that has the ability to provide him with needed stimulation and activities. Due to his leeriness with strangers and his protectiveness with items such as bones, we are asking for an adult only home for Drake. He does seem to enjoy the company of other dogs and should do well with a compatible doggy sibling.
